A film crew from ITV visited GeoAcoustics HQ in Great Yarmouth on 12th August 2025 to report on our work combining advanced sonar technology with AI powered data processing.

The piece focused on the GeoSwath 4 bathymetric sonar and how its AI capabilities are being applied to scientific projects, including a seagrass monitoring initiative explained on camera by our Chief Commercial Officer, Richard Dowdeswell.

Some of the the filming took place in our test pool, capturing a GeoSwath transducer being lowered into the water. The report also featured our expert team at work building our systems and highlighted the multi-year AI development project in collaboration with the University of East Anglia.

It was a great opportunity to showcase how cutting-edge hydroacoustic technology and intelligent automation can accelerate environmental research and help to address some the challenges of climatechange and globalwarming.
