The countdown to Oceanology International 2026 is well underway, and we are preparing to unveil two new additions to our hydroacoustic technology portfolio at ExCeL London.
Oceanology International provides an important forum for the blue economy and ocean technology community, making it a fitting stage for the next step in the GeoAcoustics product roadmap. At Oi 2026, we will launch a major expansion of our bathymetric technology range alongside a brand-new sub-bottom profiler, marking a substantial broadening of our field-proven systems for marine and geotechnical survey.
For decades, GeoAcoustics has been recognised for interferometric wide swath bathymetry through the GeoSwath series but our new system to be revealed in a few weeks, broadens that capability. Different survey environments demand different tools, whether operating in shallow dynamic waters, deeper offshore sites or from uncrewed surface vessels. This launch reflects our focus on providing surveyors with greater flexibility while maintaining data confidence and operational reliability.

Alongside this, we will introduce our first new boomer sub-bottom profiler in over a quarter of a century! This marks a significant step into lower frequency geophysical capability, enabling deeper penetration in more challenging geological conditions. Designed for diverse users working in e.g., offshore wind development, cable route assessment and geotechnical investigation, the new system brings GeoAcoustics’ approach to build quality, signal integrity and robust integration into deeper sub-surface imaging.
Visitors to Stand P400 will also be able to explore our full product range, including AI-enabled quality control in bathymetry, our latest GeoScan side scan sonar systems and our expanded cable moulding and integration services. With increasing demand for automated workflows and seamless USV deployment, integration and reliability remain central to our engineering philosophy.
As Richard Dowdeswell, CCO at GeoAcoustics, said, “It is always great to be back at Oceanology International. The show brings together the global marine industry in one place, and we are looking forward to presenting our new products to customers and partners from around the world. These launches reflect our continued commitment to practical innovation and to supporting surveyors with dependable, high-quality data in the field.”
