About GeoAcoustics Ltd

GeoAcoustics Ltd delivers innovative, field-proven technologies for customers working in inland waterway and marine hydrographic surveying, dredging and marine-research. With a global presence through our network of channel partners, we specialise in the design, development, manufacture and commissioning of advanced side scan, bathymetry and sub-bottom profiling sonar systems.

GeoAcoustics has provided subsea sensors and equipment for over four decades and continues to develop innovative products, including sonar solutions that can outperform multibeam echo sounders in specific applications and AI systems that unlock IHO S-44 standard marine data in real time.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where your impact will be visible and valued. You will be joining a company that provides a generous benefits package and is committed to investing in its staff.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on HSEQ Officer to co-ordinate, maintain and continuously improve our Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively engage with all staff to promote a positive HSEQ culture across all levels of the company

  • Work with Management to maintain, help develop and implement HSEQ policies and procedures

  • Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis and hazard identification across the business and covering all staff

  • Conduct incident investigations, and in conjunction with Management establish the root cause analysis, along with corrective actions and any required implementation and training

  • Ensure emergency response plans are in place, tested, and communicated

  • Ensure compliance with UK and International HSEQ regulations

  • Prepare and present the required HSEQ reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to the Management Team

  • Support client audits, regulatory inspections, and ISO certifications

  • Support and help develop the knowledge and skills of the Assistant HSEQ Apprentice

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • A supportive, team orientated individual

  • NEBOSH qualified

  • Proven HSEQ experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ legislation, standards, and best practice

  • A proactive person, and confident communicator.

  • Practical knowledge and experience in the use of a variety of hand tools, machinery and awareness of some building maintenance

Desirable

  • Hold ISO Internal Auditor Certification

What we offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Permanent role with 37.5 hours per week

  • Supportive team environment

  • Standard company benefits (details shared during the process)
